A few Palmetto Parrot Head Club members made the trip down to St. Augustine a few weeks back to be part of the Beaches A1A PHCs 17th Annual Beach Blast. I am sure they have some stories they could tell. Their President posted a wrap up to their event:

The Beaches A1A ParrotHeads just held our 17th big annual Beach Bash in St Augustine Beach. We entertained 125 guests with live music from noon-11pm for two days and even had time to hold our J D Buffett Memorial Volleyball tournament the morning of Day 2. Our guests from the Parrot Heads of Central Florida handily took first, second, AND third places in the tournament. Those guys & gals don’t mess around!
We held our first ever Pajama Party the evening of Day 2 and our guests brought teddy bears, stuffed toy monkeys, and dozens of other cuddly toys which were confiscated by officers of the St Johns County Sheriffs Office! And at the end of the evening we were visited by a brand new bride from her wedding reception in the adjoining hotel event room who left her guests to come claim her Beach Bash raffle prizes!
From the event, the total charity funds raised (so far) toward our Walk to End Alzheimer’s donation is $2671, PLUS $225 to Russell Home (as designated by the winning volleyball teams from PHCF), PLUS three big bags full of stuffed toys for the Cuddly Care program of the SJSO.
Beaches A1A ParrotHeads definitely did Party with a Purpose.
It was an event to remember!
