Jimmy Buffett concert coming to Marion’s Park Place Drive-In

The Auto Drive-In in Greenville, SC and the Highway 21 Drive-In in Beaufort, SC will be carrying the Buffett concert. The Big Mo in Monetta, SC WILL NOT be carrying the show.

MARION, Va. — The Park Place Drive-In Theater will bring a taste of Margaritaville to Marion, Virginia, for a simulcast show.

Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band will be performing “Live At The Drive-In,” a live performance at the Coyote Drive-In in Panther Island, Fort Worth, Texas, on June 19. And the per-formance will be simultaneously broadcast to select drive-ins across the country.

The drive-in community is rallying behind this concert – just as it has with the digital conversion efforts of recent years,” said Jerry Harmon, owner of Park Place Drive-In.

General admission or lawn seat tickets with a blanket or beach chair are $18. They are located is the front four rows and grassy area in front of the screen.

Car passes for the back two rows are available for an additional $1.25, and must be purchased along with the general admission tickets.

A limited number of VIP or “Very Important Parrothead” parking passes, located immediately adjacent to the concession stand, are available for $25 each, and also must be purchased along with general admission tickets.

Park Place is selling “cooler passes” for those bringing in their own food and beverages. Cost is $5 per cooler, and each pass comes with a $3 coupon good for purchases from the Park Place concession stand night of show. The Park Place Drive In will also be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs that will be available for sale at the show. All Virginia ABC laws will be strictly enforced.

Pre-show entertainment will be provided by Ken Heath’s Bow Tie Pro Music and Sound Services. Gates open at 6 p.m. with show time at ap-proximately 9 p.m.
