Let The Fin Begin!

–Margaritaville Casino & Restaurant Biloxi Set to Open May 22 –“Fun and Easy…Play Longer.”

It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere and on May 22, somewhere is Margaritaville Biloxi.

The Margaritaville Casino and Restaurant Biloxi will open to the public on May 22 at 8pm, bringing a casino experience to the Gulf Coast unlike any other.

Inspired by the lyrics and philosophy of Jimmy Buffett, a native son of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Margaritaville Casino and Restaurant is a natural fit for Biloxi. Fans of the island lifestyle, devoted Parrotheads or anyone who likes to have a good time will enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. From palm trees and fishing boats to suspended airplanes and a margarita-erupting volcano, the authentic tropical surroundings set the scene for getting away and having fun, whether you’re here for a few days or just a few hours. Another distinguishing feature of Margaritaville is a 30ft. wall of glass that makes a striking design statement and opens the interior to the spectacular view of the beautiful Biloxi Bay Bridge spanning the Back Bay.

“I am thrilled,” Jimmy answered, when asked about the opening of Margaritaville Biloxi. “Biloxi has been on my songline for a long, long time. I made my professional singing debut here back in the late 60’s, when I used to drive my Ford Falcon ‘down around Biloxi’ from the school in Hattiesburg, to play weekends at Trader Jons. Before that, I spent many a weekend, as a child of the Gulf Coast, with my family at the Sun ‘n Sand. I have been fortunate to do many things in my career, but coming full circle to Biloxi with Margaritaville, surely is one of the highlights. It is not only fun, to be coming home and bringing our brand of fun to the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” Buffett added, “It is also very gratifying to be able to provide nearly 1,000 new jobs for Mississippians these days. I would just like to personally thank everyone who has had a hand in this adventure, so, let’s let the fin begin.”
